We've added a new circular route to our site this week taking in Skiddaw, Skiddaw Little Man and Carlside.
The route starts at Underskiddaw car park and has plenty of potential to turn into a huge Wainwright bagging session with easy access to Latrigg, Blencathra and a host of others if time (and your legs) will allow.
We managed to complete this in about 4.5 hours with plenty of camera stops so it is quite likely you can do it faster than we did. The route itself is very friendly as hiking in the Lakeland area goes, with well worn tourist paths and flatter shale areas. The only remotely challenging area is the descent to Carlside which is a steeper slope down loose shale with a large drop to your right. However in clear weather this won't phase many and it is still easy-ish going underfoot.
Grab the route here and let us know what you think!
